After 41 weeks and 160 episodes, Jon Stewart’s first year on the job is coming to a close, just in time with the end of the universe and such (Y2K’s coming, people). So, these final two episodes are treated like a final exams – does Jonny pass, or (god forbid) are we gonna have to do this whole year again? There’s intrigue: as a potential plagiarism scandal unfold with Nancy Walls’ second segment “Turkish Delight.” There’s also some good old fashion awkward interviews afoot, with not-so-professional-impressionist David Boreanaz and the frequently mocked ‘poet snoreate’ Jewel. And, of course, to remind you that we’ve learned nothing: we’ve got Monkeys Humping. That’s a rap on ’99 folks – see you in the next millennium!
